The role of the advisory committee is to provide insights and advice for the directors of the Florida Blue Center for Health Care Quality. The committee is interdisciplinary to obtain diverse perspectives.

Mr. Ortiz serves as Dean McDaniel’s Executive Assistant. His duties include managing the daily needs of the Dean; serving as a liaison for executive offices on campus; working on special projects for the Dean; organizing events and functions related specifically to the Dean’s Office; and other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND

Mr. Ortiz has been employed with UF since 2010. His previous employment was in the College of Pharmacy (2010-2019) where he served as the assistant to the three Associate Deans in the Dean’s Office.
